Our free-range hens lay fresh eggs every day.  We grade the eggs by hand, according to Medium, Large and Extra Large size.

Our eggs are keenly priced ..  medium are only £2 a dozen.  Why buy battery-farmed eggs, when we offer our own free-range eggs at these prices?

We always have a wide selection of home-grown vegetables available.  The exact varieties are season-dependent of course.

Our vegetables include: Aubergines, Beetroot, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Butternut Squash, Cabbage, Red/White, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Celeriac, Chilies, Cress Mustard/Water, Cucumbers, Curly Kale, Leeks, Lettuce, Marrows, Mushrooms Button/Flat, Onions Red/White/Shallots/Spring, Parsnips, Peppers Green/Orange/Red/Yellow, Potatoes Red/White 5kg or 25kg, Radishes, Spinach, Swede, Tomatoes standard/cherry.

We have a variety of breads from two local bakeries, including wholemeal, white, loaves, french sticks and rolls.  All breads are delivered fresh each day.

We can offer a variety of cheeses, made locally by skilled cheese-makers.  Available varieties vary, but include Stilton Tuxford & Tebbit, Sussex Blue, Sussex Camembert, Sussex Crumble, Tintern, Wensleydale & Apricot, Wensleydale & Cranberry and Windsor Red.

We select fruit from local growers, including apples, pears. strawberries and plums are grown on the land at the shop.

Availability varies with season, of course.

Also, various milks, creams and yogurts are always available, such as:

  • Channel Island Cream
  • Pasteurized Double Cream
  • Full Fruit Yogurts, in both Full or Low fat

Gluten and wheat free 

We now stock Oast to Host food Sally and Claire make the most delicious food you don’t even know that it is gluten or wheat free it is that good. They make lovely quiches and sticky toffee puddings to die for.

Vegetarian and Vegan food 

Jane of the Fat Carrot company makes vegetarian food the beetroot hummus is so vibrant in colour and tastes fab. But her welsh eggs are what people really like I know for a fact that non veggies buy these because they prefer this to the old fashion scotch eggs.
